Celebrating 100 Wonderful Years with Tryon Hounds!

Tryon Hounds will celebrate its Centennial next season - one hundred years marked by tradition, camaraderie and fun. The Tryon Hounds Centennial Committee is planning a very exciting year filled with special events and quality memorabilia to mark this milestone!

Overview of the Tryon Hounds Centennial

The Tryon Hounds Centennial Committee has a year of spectacular events lined up to honor and celebrate 100 years of fox hunting with Tryon Hounds!

The celebration will open with a Sporting & Country Life Art Show Gala on Saturday, November 8 at Tryon Fine Arts Center. The exhibit will remain open to the public through Monday, November 10, 2026. Tickets go on sale September 29.  For more information, click here.

Opening Hunt and Blessing of the Hounds will follow tradition Thursday, November 26. Members may order a special stirrup cup to toast the 100th year by visiting this link. The cup will have a TH Centennial Seal and can be personalized with your name.

Our Holiday Party is scheduled for  December 14. The popular auction will return and a special holiday centennial ornament will also be available for purchase.

Still in the works is an event in January that will also serve as an opportunity to release the Tryon Hounds Centennial coffee table book. We are continuing to collect photos and stories which you may submit for consideration by using this form. To pre-order your book, click here.

Fox hunting has always revered apparel; both for function and for fashion. How much has it changed over the years? Find out at the High Tea Fashion Show Sunday, February 15 at Sunnydale in Tryon. Open to the public so bring a friend to enjoy the history of our sport and today’s country life fashions.

What better way to end a Centennial Celebration than with fellow fox hunters during Tryon Hounds Hunt Weekend concluding with our traditional Hunt Ball? Plans are firming up for a weekend of great hunting and camaraderie beginning March 4. The Centennial Hunt Ball will certainly be a special occasion held Saturday, March 7 at Spiegel Farm in Campobello.

In addition to the stirrup cup, coffee table book and holiday ornament, The Centennial Committee will also have a special lapel pin, St. Hubert medallion, calendar and various items with the Centennial Logo available for sale on the website and at events.
