Presented by the Tryon Hounds.
The Cedar Way Bassets are a foot pack led by Tryon Hounds Huntsman Beth Blackwell, MBH. Basset hunting is a sport similar in nature to fox hunting. The general differences are the quarry, rabbit, instead of fox, and basset hunting is done on foot, which provides a slower type of hunting. The country we cover is also much smaller, making this enjoyable for everyone!
The goal of Cedar Way Bassets is to provide a fun environment for those interested in the sport of hunting with hounds. The basset hounds make it especially enjoyable, as they are a hound who enjoys life to its fullest, and loves to provide entertainment for anyone willing to watch! We encourage people of all ages to come join us!
